Best food and service ever. This is fine dining at its finest. They are more than willing to accommodate allergies. I was expecting to get the salmon with a plain baked potato because I am gluten and dairy free, but no. I had a version of the risotto that was gluten and dairy free. The salmon was exquisite. My son had the Elk, which was amazing. My husband had the buffalo steak, which was delicious. My daughter ate every single bite of her Alfredo. The service was friendly and perfect. Jennifer was our server and she rocked. We were able to enjoy our meal and not feel rushed. It was fantastic.

As their website states : "The Virginian restaurant at the Occidental Hotel is named after Owen Wister's immortal novel "The Virginian." " My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience here; although the wine list could use improvement with more of a selection. We each ordered filet mignon wrapped in bacon with sides. The steaks were cooked to order perfectly and delicious. Dessert was cherry pie for my husband and creme brulee for me. We reserved a window seat, and it was very cozy and private. It's definitely a treat if you're in the area.

They have the best steak I have ever eaten! So tender, buttery, and well seasoned. From appetizers to desserts, everything was amazing. I don't have a single complaint other than I wish I had eaten here sooner! The staff are so attentive and really courteous, and the atmosphere is really beautiful. I ordered the ribeye, loaded garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and grilled caeser salad. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Best steakhouse in town, hands down!

Excellent service!!! They serve your dinner as it’s supposed to be - bringing appetizers, bread, and entrees in order and allowing good 30 minutes in between, so you can talk. Allow for 2 hours to really enjoy this amazing dinner experience. Food is great, elk steak is to die for!

Outstanding food. Portions are medium--you won't leave stuffed or with food on the table, but you won't go hungry either. Everything I ordered was flavorful and perfectly cooked. On top of it, the new owner(since 2019) and servers were absolutely wonderful. I would rate this higher than most restaurants I've been to in Seattle or Denver. Would absolutely recommend to anyone searching for fantastic food at a reasonable price.
